PJ McIlroy started his business career, on a spur of the moment decision in late 1959, when he moved from ownership of a family grocery business to establishing an auctioneering business selling livestock and furniture. Some years later PJ purchased new premises on Ann Street in Ballycastle and "PJ Mcilroy & Son" was formed. The introduction of his sons, Sean, Eamon and Leo, saw the business take on a more focused approach with Sean initially and then with Leo developing the estate agency and property rental division while Eamon concentrated on the Insurance and financial services department. The business has evolved to the professional business model we now see today. Although the company is still run by the three brothers, they would strongly acknowledge the loyalty, commitment and dedication of their staff and the massive contribution they have made through the years building PJ Mcilroy & Son into the successful business it is today. Without our clients though, we would not be here today and as our father once said

We hope to continue to treat all our customers with the respect and integrity with which P.J. would have wanted.
Sean McIlroy is a partner and joined the firm in 1969 he is involved in residential and commercial sales, farm sales, lettings and valuations.
Eamon is a partner and has been with the firm since 1980 an experienced IFA he is responsible for all aspects of Financial, Estate and Tax Planning he is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Personal Finance Society also a qualified Equity Release and Mortgage Adviser.
Leo is a partner responsible for residential and commercial sales and valuations.
Aidan joined P.J. McIlroy & Son in November 1989 a very capable and well informed insurance professional he manages the General Insurance Department on a day-to-day basis. Over the years Aidan has handled many different classes of Insurance business for customers, both personal and commercial.
Dion joined P.J. McIlroy & Son in February 1985. An experienced para-planner and analyst, he is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Personal Finance Society, he works closely with Eamon and is a key contributor to financial strategy and planning. Also responsible for back office administration.
William joined PJ Mcilroy & Son in April 2010. Since then William has gained much experience across a range of Insurance types including motor, home, travel, business and property. In addition William is very knowledgeable dealing with farm and tractor Insurance and would be the main contact in the office for this class of business.
Gwen joined P J McIlroy & Son in 2003 and since then has built up a comprehensive knowledge of the local property market. Gwen is is involved in sales negotiations and lettings and is our main contact in the office if you have a property you would like to let out.
Geraldine is our newest member of staff having joined our business in 2016. Geraldine deals with property administration for both rentals and sales.
